FinOps Engineer
Description
Requirements :
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, DevOps, FinOps, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch etc.
- Strong understanding of AWS pricing models, billing structures, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost optimization strategies.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting production cloud environments.
- Experience in cloud governance, resource tagging, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- AWS certifications are preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and recommend rightsizing, scheduling, and optimization initiatives.
- Monitor system, cloud performance to ensure service availability.
- Develop and maintain cloud cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend optimization strategies for compute, storage, database, networking, and managed services.
- Implement and maintain cloud cost allocation, tagging, and chargeback/showback methodologies.
- Create and maintain dashboards, and reports related to cloud utilization and spending.
- Review cloud architecture and infrastructure designs to ensure cost-effective implementation.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure cost or related issues.
- Work closely with CloudOps, DevOps, Developer, and Solution Architect to improve cloud efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Undertake additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required by department, or company to support business needs and organizational objectives.
