Description
Requirements :
- 4 years of experience in a Purchaser or Buyer role, with a focus on international supplier management.
- Strong ability to manage cross-team and supplier communications effectively, ensuring clarity and timely responses.
- Proactively address issues and discrepancies in pricing, quality, and production schedules with great attention to detail.
- High proficiency in handling administrative tasks, including updating the customer portal and preparing reports.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining regular updates with the Germany-based team.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment, particularly with German and Asian teams, is a plus.
Responsibilities :
- Download customer inquiries from the portal and forward them to suppliers for price quotations. Ensure that supplier selections are based on designated product categories.
- Evaluate supplier offers and prepare detailed price comparisons for the German team. Communicate price comparisons to the team in Germany and notify them of key updates.
- Coordinate sample orders based on decisions from the DE team. Manage the condition, quality, and quantity of samples with suppliers, ensuring any unsatisfactory samples are replaced.
- Oversee production status by tracking material availability and monitoring production progress to meet deadlines. Ensure 15% and 100% production milestones are achieved as per the schedule.
- Complete order confirmations and regularly update the customer portal in English. Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding orders.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm material availability, monitor production timelines, and provide regular status reports using a color-coded system (e.g., GREEN for on-track, RED for delays).
- Facilitate internal testing and organize customer inspections as required.
- Be willing and available for international travel to meet with suppliers and coordinate in-person meetings.
